No materials from salvaging

Hello there,

I recently picked up the game again, and during the duration of gameplay, I decided to salvage some chairs and curtains, unfortunately, neither yielded their materials (reclaimed wood and cloth), I repeated this process on tables and other curtains, but to no avail.

Are you using the save game from an old run (prior to when the game switched to the newer harvesting system ), or was this from a fresh run started on either v.256 or v.257?

Silly question. Did you look on the floor?, because that's where the salvaged stuff is put (not directly into your inventory).

Sometimes materials land on top of things, too. Like other furniture. Or door/window frames. On a sink. Stuck on towel rack....

Like said above, when you break things down they don't go to your inventory but on the ground. You can pick them up afterwards like any other item in game. There is a bit of an issue (Which is being looked at) where the salvaged gear items go into weird positions, like in walls, sinks, counters, etc...

If you aren't seeing anything then as Bill asked, is this save file from before the Deep Forest Update?
