Campfire Created Torch?

I apologize if this has already been answered...

I have not played The Long Dark in some time and decided to come back to it, with all the new updates.

I've noticed that their was an issue with torches, and that they were addressed in the hotfix. It's been so long I had no idea their were torches.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, I read that torches must be created at a workbench... correct? I created a campfire on Coastal Highway, fed it with less than 2 dozen sticks and when I retreated from the fire I had a torch in my hand.

If the fire has duration longer than 20 minutes, then you can take out a torch from it and fire's duration is reduced by 20 minutes. If you are adding fuel to the fire, then it's quite possible to misclick and take the torch instead. This was added in the last big update. You can still create torches at a workbench.

Yeah the button should be placed somewhere else. If I'm consistently clicking to feed the fire, I don't want to have this problem.

Or, if you run out of fuel to add to the fire and you click 1 time too many in the place the "add fuel" button is, you will now hit the "take torch" button in stead as it has moved to the place the "add fuel" button was. Happened a couple of time to me already.

Another thing I've encountered is accidentally adding a torch after running out of sticks. Especially with sticks since you need to add so many you click very fast and it's easy to click once too many and add the next thing in the list (and that's usually a torch if you're carrying one).
