Simple no real detail map that generates the landmarks and places found... of course would have to add the ability of making some form of paper and pencil. Just something that kinda simple. To help with kinda remembering where stuff is at .....i dont know just kind of a thought

Hmm.. I can see the need of this, and some variate to boot:

A basic map shows general use locations: Say a basic map of the coastal Highway has only the gas station, Cottage, and camp grounds on it, while an advanced map has topographic features, showing lesser known locations and inclines from lines. I also like your idea of adding in a pen so that you could mark locations on the map, or have a charcoal pen system to tag places you've been.
