ChristianGamer
I would like to see the ability to craft tents and make fire pits to set up camps and to see if we could get axes to harvest wood and build structures Ie: huts to cabins to full blown houses( would take a lot of time though). I would like to be able to obtain other guns like shotguns and handguns. (no full auto) and would like to see a machete as a tool and weapon. Bill Tarling
I'm lost as to why the character would build a house when there are already plenty - unless you mean just add house building for the sake of having it like The Forest. Just not sure where house building would fit as needed in the game. It doesn't really seem logical to expect him/her to build a full house on their own when they're struggling to survive, and there are already plenty of buildings. Bill Tarling
Tents or snow shelters may be a possibility if it fits with their story mode...
Aelaera
True i can understand that logic but i would still like to see portable tents. thanks for the honest replyI'd like to see tents definitely. Tents would offer absolutely no protection from the cold, but it would remove windchill and decrease the risk of animal attack. As for the buildings I agree with Bill. If I was a survivor in this situation, I wouldn't be trying to build a log home. But I've seen other posts asking to be able to "modify" or "decorate" homes. That would be an interesting compromise. If I'm sitting out a winter in an existing home, I would undoubtedly start making objects or moving items around the home just to make it feel more comfortable and "homey". It would be something that would improve your morale and make you feel human again since you would be making a place of your own, even if it technically wasn't yours. I'm not saying turn it into a Sims game and redecorate your house according to the seasons, but being able to throw a deer head on the wall or a wreath on your home base door would add a bit of warmth to your soul. If sanity became a factor I believe it would help that too.
