DrMembrane
I've found that venison and wolf meat, especalyl after cooking, we fluctuate wildly in their calorie amounts, like I had a cooked venison which for some reason registered as 56 calories, is this a bug or some part of the game I'm missing. Bill Tarling
A lot also depends on condition... and even amount (not all the meat is necessarily the same size/amount)
Hotzn
If you harvest a deer with, let's say, 8.1 kg of meat left on it, and you harvest it in one go, you will get 8 pieces of 1 kg, and the last piece will be like 56 g or some such. You can also "create" a small piece of meat by filling yourself up to 2,500 cal. At 2,500 cal, you will stop eating and may have a little leftover piece that will not be 1 kg. Ninjakebab
Look at the weight of the chunks of meat. In your case the meat will have weighed 70 grams giving you 56 calories (at 800kcal/kg for cooked venison). This will happens due to what Hotzn says.
