Can't equip deerskin boots

I just made a pair of deerskin boots but when it comes up in my inventory it only gives me the option to drop them, but not equip them. Tried taking my current boots off but still couldn't put them on. :[

Are you sure you finished the boots? If you start work on them but don't finish them they do appear in your inventory but you can't equip them. It also says in your inventory that the boots aren't finished.

With the new (prettier) UI, it can sometimes be hard to see, that the editing fields for how long to work on your boots, as well as which item (sewing kit, knife) are a bit of of the main area, at the top right of your screen. Only after you have completely finished it, they become wearable.

I feel like an idiot. They weren't finished. -___- What a waste. lol I'm pretty sure I froze to death like half an hour after I made them.
