Jeremy JPOW Powell
Hey everyone,With our U5 test Branch out viewtopic.php?f=57&t=4917We'd ask that if you have had any previous issues such as crashing while transitioning zones, loading the game, not able to enter interiors, upside down screens, Black screens, and any other weird behavior that is preventing you from playing the game. Could you grab the Unity 5 Test build we released and see if these issues are still causing a problem? If you are still getting these type of issues please post it here with any info on what may have changed since the Unity 4 Build and the Unity 5 build, or if it is still the same between the two. As usual Screenshots and Debug logs are extremely helpful and the specs you are running on your computer. Also things to check for, updated drivers for computer hardware and any potential hardware issues you may be having resolved before trying the game.Jeremy
Jeremy JPOW Powell
With the Unity 5 Build officially out I'd ask the same as I did above. If you were experiencing any major issues prior to this update, please check and see if they are still present. If you are good to go let me know, if not also let me know. I have a bunch of bugs on my list that were about Black screens, Upside Down Screens, Crashing while Exiting Interiors, crashing While entering Interiors, Crashing While Transitioning between regions, and even just random crashes. I would like to close out as many of these as possible if they are indeed fixed, I've replied to threads and emails that I received regarding this, but to anyone who didn't make a thread or email me and were getting any issues along these lines or anything crazy weird and it doesn't happen anymore would be good to know. Or if it does still happen also good to know, because then we can fix it knowing that Unity 5 didn't fix it.Jeremy
JoseyWales
I notice the tree shadows were acting a bit strange, sort of like what the roads were doing before. they seem to be buried in the snow in some places and does what the snow was doing on the roads, just not as bad.You guys got the lighting frickin perfect! I fell in love all over again when I launched this build.. Can't say enough about the lighting as the over all look has dramatically improved. It looks really really good right now on my IPS. The animals are acting more like real now as well. I was stoked at the improvement with hunting and the interactions with them in easy mode. Now if we can get some verity in the harder modes with how they act it will make them more playable for all. If they are full they tend not to bother you, on the prowl watch out. Things like that.. Many different actions depending on their hunger level and pack size would be nice as it would change the dynamic of the game making it unpredictable if you can't read the behavior they are exhibiting at the time. UndeadSnake
As I enter Ravine or the cave behind the Hydro dam the game always crashes. After entering the Cave it saved and now when I load it crashes right then and there. I have no idea why and I'm not the only one with this problem. I checked my computer and all systems are a go. My CPU runs at 12%-!8% while I play the game. I feel cheated and this has ruined the game for me. I would like to avoid this feeling for other gamers. Hope you can find out why. Don't waste a good game.------------------System Information------------------Time of this report: 7/18/2015, 18:38:27 Machine name: PER-VIEWS-PC Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.150525-0603) Language: English (Regional Setting: English)System Manufacturer: Dell Inc. I can still hear the sound and even do things like open the backpack but sound is all I get. All I see is my desktop but are unable to do anything. The game is running but the visuals crash.
