The Case of the Vanishing Fir

Hey, I hope everyone’s staying warm out there in the frozen beauty.
I’m coming to you live from Day 676 of my absolutely-going-for-10,000 days Interloper run—and yes, I’m still naming each survivor after day 1,000, because you’ve got to make sure we hit it off before we commit. The current one, called New Astrid, has this silly issue. The two fir limbs that always spawned behind Quonset? Yeah… she chopped them down for a trade, around day 220 and the next one that should have replaced them must’ve joined witness protection or something, because they haven’t shown up since. I’ve been out there waiting to snap pics. But nada. No sign.

If anyone out there could point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it. I’ve cleared the area around of every piece of wood, but not much luck getting them back as Astrid needs them for trading, furniture, and to catch that big fish.

There are two very inconveniently placed fir right in front of the bear cave up the hill if you're feeling brave enough to get them.

I was watching a streamer ( Atheenon ) have the same issue a couple weeks back. I can also confirm that these two Fir limbs didn't ever respawn on my two saves after the last patch.

Can also confirm ... they did not respawn for me after MANY days and several trips in and out of the region.

oh yeah, that's a good one! those ones are also getting chopped all the time, plus the ones in Silent Clearing, and for sure there are still firs I am yet to find around
