Deer Devs,

After 1 month and about 100 hours of gameplay during december (uh, wow) here is a complete feedback about what I would love to see implemented in the game, mostly about Safehouse Customization.

- Make use of the many hooks that we can find in houses. Hanging pot, skillet, hatchet... Things ! With a nice auto-attach system like when we place a rifle on a stand.

- Ability to craft Rifle Stand, Revolver display, bow racks. Would be so nice to properly store all our weapons.

- Ability to craft Shelves thanks to woodworking tools & bench. Walls shelves as we only can find in houses so far.

- The Ability to store STANDING books. I don't know how to implement the option of rotating the item in 3D, however.

- Find a way to make it easier to place item on higher shelves, rather than "climbing" on a load of trash that you designed for hours to get 1m up the floor. A stepladder would be cool. You can interact with it simply L-clicking, little animation of Will getting up on it and you can't walk till you're not down, preventing getting on higher places (as devs intendeed).

- I am unable to place curtains on there rods, IDK if it's only me or if it's a thing, but it would be lovely to do so.

- I would love to see a "1 collumn version" of the decorative shelf.

-  Unique Safehouse items, completly useless, as a Teddy Bear or the green lamp are already, but more of them. You know we are ready to travel the entire Great Bear Island to get on the the most useless thing if it's FANCY. And it would be amazing to discover new decoration in the environnement.

- Radio Trader movable through building where they are already present, admitting there are "radio plug" in those particular buildings.

Aaaaaand that's it for now i guess. I would love to see your impressions, good or bad. Some of those ideas might need a rework, up to us to work around now, if you'd like.

Adding my vote for vertical/stackable books! It was one of the first things I tried to do.

There is a lot of noise about that in every forum. Found that was a good point to add in my list.

Returned to Milton (MT) today and was doing some renovation/decorating in Grey Mother's house. I dragged the trunk down from Lily's room & realized how nice it is, and it holds quite a bit, too -- I would love if we could craft something similar (less rustic and not as clunky than the current large storage chest)

Maybe with scrap metal, and more time needed to craft it. Could be cool. I would love to see a smaller version of this, like a tiny little chest in which you're supposed to store small things, like bullets, or so.
Would be nice to have cloth bags, to do massive storing of rosehips, Reishi, etc, like the potatoes ones (but offering more than 2.00Kg storing, this is a bit light...)

Bags for the smaller things would be great, especially if you could hang them from the various hooks/racks. Possibly have a way to "take" and repurpose backpacks & hang those up as well?

Suspect this will be addressed as the team continues to refine the content.

I use the smaller Small Rustic Box at 6 Cedar a pop. It’s a good size

In the meantime, this might be a good space for modders to come in and craft custom containers one could dangle from a hook.

Desperately want to purchase a fishing tackle kit from the Trader. It’d operate like an Insulating Flask, but for lures, bait, and line instead of drinks. A really nice way to consolidate and tidy up bag space. I’d love that so much. 🥹🥹

Quite like the idea of most of these ideas, and some have been mentioned in other threads so I think there are common sentiments (especially regarding Safehouse Customization utility).

I don't think the Trader's Radio is likely to be moveable/Safehouse-able, given how it operates (on a technical level). This would likely result in a 'lot' of easily exploitable clipping bugs and softlocks. Personally I think there are ~10 of these Trader Radios scattered about the world, and that is meaningfully functional enough without the utility of moving them.

Excellent suggestions through and through! Specially the stepladder idea, I always carry cups and cardboard boxes with me to use as steps.

I will just add another one: the dresser and rustic storage box are the only container options that use cedar and not fir. I would love more craftable containers that are made of cedar/reclaimed and not fir.

Guys, I thought about a thing that a completly forgot to mention in the thread.

It would be so nice if we could craft curing stands for fresh hides. Not necessarily curing them faster, just as a way to properly store and see them at the same time.
