SafeAgain Posted November 20 Posted November 20 I think this is a simple and nice way to make visiting the far territories something you'd want to do more often: Add a milling machine to Zone of Contamination: Since it's a massive industrial region, it makes sense that a milling machine could be found somewhere in the concentrator, or some part of the Langstron mine. Add an ammunition workbench to Sundered Pass: Since the weather station is.. what it is, an ammunition workbench there would make sense, given the notes we find. That way, the far territories have a forge, and milling machine, and an ammo bench. Everything a survivor could need. Players would have a reason to re-visit these regions to craft new tools, repair broken ones, or craft addition ammo. 8 1
Lexilogo Posted November 21 Posted November 21 Yeah, I think I'd support this. My only slight concern with this is that a milling machine in the ZOC would allow you to access a milling machine without having to deal with Timberwolves, so Loper/Misery players could live in Transfer Pass and comfortably keep their tools repaired with relatively low risk levels. But, I think it'd be fine. Going to The Far Territory means you give up a lot of comfort factors regular Great Bear gives you, like more places to loot/hunt in or Beachcombing, and the way to/from the Far Territory vs Great Bear is so long that I think it provides a comfortable balance, so I think it'd be under control. I will say that I'd like it if these devices had a similar minor "quest" requirement to access them that Bleak Inlet does, like having to find a key in a different part of the region or having to make Tale progress. 5 2

I mostly agree, though i don't think that misery players would consider staying in the far territories given how cold it is, and how fast you lose condition while freezing I think that poisoned wolves are enough of a challenge for the milling machine. I agree that puzzles to unlock these would be fun. 2
