Hi,  Long time lurker, first time poster. 👋

Been playing since release and have a few questions,  just my random thoughts really.

Any plans for new achievements being added to the game?   Yep i'm a self confessed achievement hunter! 😄

Any plans for doing anything with the cairns?  I know they were for kickstarter backers and as we know the majority of them never did get messages sadly.  Maybe we could have an achievement for finding them all? That would give them more of a purpose to actively seek them out, i've got to the stage where i don't even give them a second look which is a shame as i doubt i've ever read all of the messages. ( anyone know how many actually have messages?) 

Last one is more of a recent i wondered, noticed a few friends on Steam recently playing 7 Days To Die, what caught my attention was in my friends list it shows how many days they had survived so far,  That would be a really cool feature to see in this game,  Maybe the location and days. Like Mystery Lake Day 50, Ash Canyon Day 439 or whatever. 

Anyway, interested in your thoughts about my thoughts 😄

I think this can be confirmed as a yes, because every Wintermute episode got achievements tied to them, and Episode 5 is upcoming.

What I'm less sure of is if Tales From The Far Territory's content will recieve any achievements. So far, I don't think it has, but it could just be that Hinterland's waiting for TFTFT to be done before adding achievements for it? No idea, though I personally don't mind either way.

Given the last time new Achievements were added (Steam) was the Wintermute Episode 4 "Blackrock" patch, I'd suspect we'll get new achievements when Wintermute Episode 5 releases (current ETA is an unspecified date in 2025 I believe). I agree though that in general I'd love to see more 'generic' achievements added to TLD, ones which you can unlock from Survival sandbox or challenges.

Unrelated to 'Achievements' per se, but in-game Badges: Hunted Part 3 is on the TFTFT DLC roadmap, though we don't have much information on that yet: if it'll be released in the TFTFT Part 6 Patch (coming in December 2024) or at a later date. But I think it's to be expected that that Challenge will have it's own Badge, like all other in-game Challenges.

Regarding Cairns: yes, I suspect most of them will likely remain 'generic' for the rest of the TLD's history. Far as I'm aware all Cairns were implemented many years ago and Hinterlands is simply waiting for backers to reply (if ever) with the message they'd want included. Though who knows, maybe years down the line Hinterlands will have a small patch adding text to some if these responses occur. That would be a pretty difficult achievement IMO, there are a 'lot' of Cairns, though I think they only exist in the oldest 4-5 regions (and Ravine/Winding River); probably wouldn't be too hard to implement on Hinterland's behalf though, since the game already tracks Cairn count under "Collections" per-save.

Cool suggestions! Achievements for finding all cairns could add some fun exploration motivation. The days survived tracker is a neat idea—it would be awesome to see your survival milestones.

My PC died a couple of days after i posted this, just back up and running today so i've been avoiding anything TLD related till i could see for myself and no spoilers! 

I'm so happy to see new achievements! I didn't ever check before playing until i got a couple of new ones pop up on me. I think it was a bug as i know i never completed them but these things happen! 

I've got so much still to see and do, i mean i just found camera film, totally forgot there was a camera introduced!  I've not even started on base customisation and yet to meet our new fluffy friend. 

Yeah it's going to be a long night....but a great weekend ahead! 😄
