Just a heads-up that we hope to re-open the store Soon-ish (tm), with a batch of new merch.

Since I'm sure you will ask, we have 1,000 of the Hinterland Fox Logo mugs (the same one that's in TLD), with another 1,000 on the way. So hopefully that'll be enough for everyone that wants one!

Our studio is currently full of boxes that look like this 😅:

Hi, has anybody experince with shipping to Europe/Germany? I wonder if I have to go to a special place to pick it up, or have to pay the import taxes to the delivery guy. thx.

In general, these mugs are made in Poland. If it were possible to deliver mugs directly from Poland to Europe, it would be cheaper and faster than first bringing them to Canada and then back to Europe. I am not saying that this is the most convenient strategy, because most likely it will require extra bureaucratic work, but rather as an interesting fact.

By the way, last year I ordered things to Poland and they were delivered without problems by Canada Post, although it was quite expensive and took a long time, but there were no problems.

A bit of shame that the mugs had to travel all the way from Poland to Canada only to be shipped back to Poland to me, but I will be glad to support the studio :) Also quality from Emalco is superb.

You will have to deal with import taxes and vat.

The delivery previously was done by the normal post offices, so in my case they hold my package hostage for many weeks while post office extorted the tax and 5% for "swiftly dealing with tax duties", they had me sign a contact with them and only after that they accepted my money, but my local post office is just special like that.

Once it was all settled it was delivered to my home address.

Sure, but our company is in Canada and Emalco doesn't ship to customers on our behalf (although we have heard from them that TLD fans have tried to order our mugs directly from them).

We're working on some solutions for shipping from within Europe but those are not simple and aren't in place yet, so for now you'll unfortunately have to accept shipping from Canada.

I'm a little short on cash, can't buy that now.

Don't worry. This won't be a "pop up" shop as before. This is the new store launch and it will remain live afterwards. Our plan is to continue restocking and bringing in new items on a regular cadence. There's no pressure to buy now.

I don't see any reason why not! But I'm not a shipping expert.

Forgot to add something, I assume it might be the case for other countries as well, but it would be great if you guys could offer a more expensive shipping option using FedEx or DHL since packages are known to be damaged or completely lost sometimes with the regular post service (like canada post to correos de mexico in my experience)

Fingers crossed I can order one in from here in the UK for when I have my regular morning cup of joe on the Pleasant Valley farmhouse porch, but if not happy frozen wilderness beverage fun everyone!
