ManicManiac Posted November 5 Posted November 5 (edited) This is by no means a significant issue but wanted to report it any way. I was recently out during an aurora with my Handheld Shortwave Radio looking for signals, when came relatively close to some aurora charged wolves skulking around in their usual manor. However, as I sat watching them a while I noticed that they would get a bit glitched. When animations would change, they would do a sort of rapid-fire chain of barks (repeats of the initial bark they make when they detect a player), then the animation would jitter into a howl, then the howl would get cut short, and then they would go back to jittering and rapid-fire barking again. Support Ticket Submitted. And as always, if you find a bug... report it. Edited November 5 by ManicManiac Edited for Clarity 3
Veskaida Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Not sure if this is the same issue, but I reported the same/similar one regarding Ptarmigans a while ago. Might affect other wildlife too, but Ptarmigans are easy to notice with it since their cry is fairly distinct (and loud even from a distance). I think it has something to do with passing time with a flock of them loaded nearby (like sleeping in a cabin in FA, with a flock ~50-75m away outdoors), which results in them spamming their audio basically constantly.
ManicManiac Posted November 9 Author Posted November 9 (edited) @Veskaida I appreciate the input, thank you. For this particular report, I was just observing Aurora Wolves out in the wilds... time compression was not a factor in the behaviors I described. I had just stepped outside from the Camp Office, so the scene had freshly loaded, I came upon them skulking on and near the train tracks, I got low and just sat & watched them and that's when I witnessed their strange behaviors. Since the Ptarmigans Issue was absolutely an issue with passing time in their presence, but this one was not... I made them two separate tickets. Edited November 9 by ManicManiac 2
