Faithful Cartographer bug?

Hello all. I'm attempting to finish Faithful Cartographer and have hit a bit of an odd bump. The game is showing that I don't have the entrance to the dam mapped from Winding River but I clearly do. I'm not sure what the problem is or how to solve this but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I had that problem four odd years ago if I remember correctly..used tons of charcoal only to find it wasn't down there .. unfortunately I can't remember where it turned out to be but I did get it in the end.. maybe outside the ml entrance side....

If it doesn't register after charcoaling the rest of it from ml side id recommend filing a report..

If I remember correctly, the spot to use the charcoal to get the cartograph done is right in the middle of the narrow walkway between the exit and entry to the back of the dam, like just tot he right of the big chunk of concrete that is missing you have to avoid..
