K3V038 Posted November 1 Posted November 1 Let me start off by saying, the long dark already has enough animals, and with the cougar coming it might be one too many, but I still like the idea of coyotes being added. They would be small predatory animals, usually wandering in packs of about four. They wouldnt be too much of a threat, since they would avoid you and only attack if you were outnumbered, an aurora was active or if they were hungry to the point of desperation. The mechanic of the coyotes would be making the prey population smaller, giving you much less food to hunt in the long term, they would also try to steal your kills and take rabbits from your snares and eat ravaged carcasses that are scattered arround They would be easy to get rid of, but would take intrest in you, your safehouse and the areas you usually hunt in. Upon killing one of them, you can get a unique pelt, that you can use to make a cosy scarf, a single gut and about 3 kg of predatory meat 1
