Persik Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Even after 1k hours of playing, I still don't have level 5 mending skill. Because even in long-term survival it is hard to achieve, if you save your recorces and not mending on every 5% condition loss. And we got a deer skin shoes, bear skin coat and other handmade type of clothes. Should we rework "mending" into "sewing" and got point from repairing your clothes AND much of points, after creating your own cloth (for exmple 1 point for wraps, 3 points for rabbit skin gloves, and 5-6 points for moose coat)? And with mastery of this skill you will got a lot of improvements. With old "mending" bonuses, you could get a warm bonus for handmade clothes, or they will be lose condition slower (like the rifle level 5 skill). Also, with higher skill, you could improve your clothes with some pieces of leather, skin, or other stuff for better insulation and protection with cost of weight and stamina (ahem-ahem, like in some mods, ahem-ahem). But the last one is a story for another time, points from crafting and improvements with level up would be enough, I guess. All what I said earlier is a result of 2 things: 1) It feels kinda stupid, when you create a full animal cloth pack on Interloper with level 1 "mending" and still successful repair your socks on 5 attempt. 2) "Mending" and "Sewing" on my native language is the same word 1 1
