Confused

Hi all. I'm playing on xbox one. I've completed signal void and buried echoes got the badges for both and then died 3 times in the last horizone. Now starting the new game from Forsaken Airfield fixing the transmitter and taking the shortwave radio but my past tales won't activate, it's asking me to start Signal Void again, was there not update for that ,that you can just continue after you the badges?  I would like to continue with the last horizone.The game is fully updated on xbox.

If the first two tales said complete and you got the badges then you should be able to do the third tales..you will need the transceiver though.

Have you  tried going to sundered pass to see if it kicks in?

Starting a NEW game? Tales has to be started over from the beginning, though you have earned the badges.

Once you've completed a TALES you should receive a Badge which acts as a form of meta-progression: allowing to you start where you left off in the 3-Tale act should you e.g. die or start a new run; progress within a TALE is not preserved though when starting a new save. So for example, if you complete Signal Void (Tale 1) and then get halfway through Buried Echoes (Tale 2) but die, in a new save you should be able to start Signal Void or Buried Echoes as soon as you pick up the Handheld Shortwave in Forsaken Airfield. If this isn't the case, I'd check in-game and make sure you've unlocked such Badges, and if it still isn't working then that might be worth a bug report to Hinterlands.

Additionally "Cheat Death" allows you to potentially 3 deaths which you can mitigate all within the same save, preserving intra-TALES progress until you die for good.
