I've been watching Zaknafein's videos for a while now.  I have to say his latest near calamities in his 500 days series were just the best.  I was literally on the edge of my seat watching him get into a couple really harrowing misadventures, then skillfully recovering.  They were episodes 64 and 65 of his 500 days series, both in Sundered Pass.  Very entertaining.

Disclosure:  I have no affiliation with Zaknafein or his channel whatsoever.

He's certainly had a few very close calls in this series.

The region is interesting like that.  Plenty of firewood of all sorts down in the valley, but if you go into the higher areas you're gonna be breaking up chairs and crates.

Very true.. unless you get enough coal from the mine and caves..

All of the major Tales regions are challenging in their own right. Personally I find Forsaken Airfield to be oppressive given it's size, lack of fuel, lack of shelter (even for campfires) and extreme cold (on Interloper), and Sundered Pass already has a reputation for likely the hardest region in all of TLD.

Personally I don't find fuel that useful in Sundered Pass, rather it is coal that matters so cave systems are what drives my ability to explore it. Similar to FA, SP is simply 'so' cold I don't find it viable to carry enough fuel (e.g. sticks) to offset the temperature (~2-3 Coal). This combined with there being basically no fuel at all in the north-western half of the map makes it quite an oppressive region.
