Cherry Kombucha Save 🍒🪓

Hello fellow survivors! I'm new to this community, and I'm hoping to have some fun sharing my adventures with you all. 

Starting a new save...

My cherry vanilla kombucha beside me, I was ready to start a new save, hehe. I decided to play on voyegeur mode, because I am kind of new to The Long Dark. I was thinking that if I could reach 100 days in this game mode, I would be more than ready to move on to Stalker. I'm taking my time to learn everything. I decided to choose a random region...

Decided to leave this off this time <3

NAME...what was it to be...

Why, Cherry Kombucha, of course.

Ok...it was windy, or maybe it was just the waterfall I was hearing...

Then I realized...

Bleak Inlet?? Of all the places I'd want to start out in, it was not that one 😂 Like I said before, I'm taking my time to learn everything, and this was not the right region to be doing that in.

*waves to Fluffy and the timberwolves*

Noooo thank you....

I started over...again choosing a random region...hoping it was a good one...also keeping the original name...the last one didn't count 😝

I heard crows...

A road! Coastal Highway?

Mountain Town!!

I was right next to the church!

I went inside the church...and found...

Score!

I found a tiny bit of food, a marine flare in a car outside, and some useless scrap metal. I kept the scrap metal anyways...

It was starting to get later in the day, but I went down the road to see what else I could find...I had never gone to the church during the first episode of Wintermute, so I wasn't really familiar with this area...

I came across a truck, and you wouldn't believe what was waiting for me in the back...

A hatchet?? A hatchet and a knife this early in the game? Perhaps it wasn't unusual in voyegeur mode...either way, I'll take it.

Found some mittens in a car.

I made it to the town before dark.

Hey! Welcome to The Quiet Apocalypse! Thanks for sharing your experience- it really takes me back to when I first started playing (long before Mountain Town and Bleak Inlet were in the game), and the feeling of "Yes!" each time I found something new or explored a new region. Luck decided to smile on you (after chuckling about spawning you into Bleak Inlet, lol). A hatchet and hunting knife on day 1 is great luck!
