Leeanda Posted October 6 Posted October 6 I think there's a few around , and could come in handy in the early game when you haven't got the hides and things for the travois.. I think the travois is dlc only, honestly I don't use it.. 1
ThePancakeLady Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Yeah, the travois is DLC-only. There are a few wheelbarrows around in the base game (another one is in the middle of the houses in Mountain Town/Milton), but there aren't a ton of them. They would only be good on flat, clear roads. Wheelbarrows suck in show or mud or even deep loose soil, they suck on slopes especially if they are heavily loaded. And the main problem- what kind of tire does it have? Solid rubber, or tubeless rubber that needs to be inflated constantly, especially in cold weather? We never used wheelbarrows in the winter on the farm- they always got stuck if you tried. We used farm sleds (utility sleds), some flat-bottomed, some on wooden rails that we could pull behind a tractor or ATV. I don't think we should be able to use wheelbarrows to move stuff in the game, but yeah- harvesting them for scrap metal and recycled wood makes some sense, with heavy decay on the hacksaw due to the heavy metal body of the wheelbarrow, or maybe we can only harvest the wood handles and legs? 1

For I was inclined to recover material, rather than to transport things.

Yes, and I agreed with that idea: 1 hour ago, ThePancakeLady said: I don't think we should be able to use wheelbarrows to move stuff in the game, but yeah- harvesting them for scrap metal and recycled wood makes some sense, with heavy decay on the hacksaw due to the heavy metal body of the wheelbarrow, or maybe we can only harvest the wood handles and legs? Leeanda Posted October 6 Posted October 6 I like the idea of using them for materials, sorry should've stated that 2
