theisaactrain Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Nobody on an island in the far northern reaches of Canada owns a snowmobile? I think having them around the map as set pieces in the same way that cars are would add another level of atmosphere, and Canadian love to the game. 1
Leeanda Posted September 22 Posted September 22 My concern with them is the amount of fuel they'd need... Personally I don't fish unless I really really have to.. It would be fun running around on one though. 1

The snowmobiles are all back on the mainland, the islanders used them to flee after the earthquakes damaged all outgoing roads. 1

Most of the cars look like junkers, or close to it. The tractors and small plows/covered utility vehicles make sense in a place where farming, lumbering and mining were obviously something that were primary occupations for many islanders or laborers who came over from the mainland. Wealthier tourists who came over for an outdoor Winter adventure may have paid big money to have them flown or ferried in, but they weren't likely to have just left them behind when they went home after their glamping trips. Same as the idea for expensive mountain bikes, **though the OP is suggesting these as props, not as a useful means of transportation in the game**. I could see ATVs, though. Those would make sense and fit into the game world- very common on farms (we had 3 plus a Mule on our farm, and nearby farms had the same) or around logging sites to make quick short distance travel faster then walking, and able to go where many cars and trucks couldn't go. I could see a few broken ATVs at the bottom of big hills or drop-offs, or partially buried in the snow in locations where they would have been used for both recreational use or pure utility use. 1
