I'd like to see a couple of bonuses for longer-term games: something like Well-Fed but that don't kick in until your survivor has made it through for a significant period.  In part, it'd be something to look forward to in the mid-range (100+ day) period, when things (for me) start to feel static.

Hardly Feel It Anymore: You've grown used to living in the cold.  After 75 days, felt temperature increases .5 degrees C.  After 150 days, increases another .5 degrees C.  A modest but non-neligible bonus as the survivor adapts to prolonged cold.

Through Hiker: Your body has become accustomed to life under a pack.  After 100 days, your walking speed increases by 1% when not over-encumbered.  This increases by a further 1% every additional 100 days, to a maximum of 5%.

These would give non-game-breaking but noticeable bumps that I think would reflect what you'd get accustomed to on GBI in the Quiet Apocalypse.  I don't know if these would be practical to implement, but it'd be nice to have milestones to be shooting toward once the original couple of months of exploring, skill increases, and gearing up are done.  Even if they're mild, it'd be nice to think, "Yes, in another month I'll have learned some new techniques" that aren't easily reflected in the survival skills.
