Bloodskye Posted September 10 Posted September 10 As an absolute lover of this game for many years, I'm getting very frustrated with the constant crashing upon transitioning through doors and regions. Please look into this. It was small at first but this past time made me rage quit for the day. After looting TWM and goating down TWICE , I loaded my travois and headed to PV. Upon transitioning to PV my game crashed....I have to do it all over again. Please fix this. I'm on PS4 if that helps. 3
Leeanda Posted September 10 Posted September 10 I'm sorry you're having these problems.. if you haven't already please file a report.. I see it's on the known issues list, with a workaround that might help until the issues fixed.. I know it's not ideal but maybe pass time more often if you can too, might be better than losing a lot of play.. 2
KingFuzz Posted November 30 Posted November 30 (edited) 100% this. I play on ps4. In the last hour of my play session I’ve crashed twice. It being a “known issue” makes matters worse because it’s been one for literal years. It seems to happen more often the more in game days survived. I’m nearing 500 days for the first time, a feat I should be excited about, but it’s hard to be excited when this “known issue” happens so frequently. Saving the game more frequently by sleeping or passing time seems like a decent workaround, but it’s really not. Workarounds are meant to be temporary solutions, but considering how long this issue has been known it’s beginning to feel like a permanent one. I still love this game and recommend it to everyone, and I’m still excited for the future of this title. I’m just frustrated by how long this has gone on. Please don’t let this “known issue” go on for another year. Edited November 30 by KingFuzz Typo 1

I can flag @Player_Support to see if there's any news on this I’ve filed several reports on this over the last year or so. However, what’s the point of filing a report over something that is a known issue?

However, what’s the point of filing a report over something that is a known issue? Since you don't have a session log or savegame to submit with reports on console, if you can list what steps led up to the crash, it might be the thing they need to fix it. They'll look for the obvious things, but if the crashes are caused by a very specific set of circumstances or steps (for example only crashes if I load my travois to max capacity- items loaded were X, Y Z, x, y, z (list of items loaded if you know them))(for example- happens only on runs where I have survived X number of days or longer)(for example- happens on runs where I have the technical backpack equipped)... sometimes it's a weird little detail that you may think doesn't matter that may actually be causing the problem. 2
KingFuzz Posted November 30 Posted November 30 (edited) It’s now happened a 3rd time this session. The only thing I can figure is it will happen more frequently the longer you survive. I have a feeling it’s tied to the amount of data that’s loaded in the area being transitioned into. For instance, all three crashes this session were while transitioning from the inside of the Forsaken Airfield hangar to outside where the car is. I have roughly 10 items on the ground immediately outside the door. I also have several items (~20) on the ground inside the hangar next to the large tool box. Edited November 30 by KingFuzz
Amir Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Yes I've had this problem for a long time. I play on PS5. I've found that closing/reopening the game every once in a while makes it less likely to happen. I also believe that starting or reloading a saved file all in one session also makes it more likely to happen. 1
