Hi all, it's me again 😅 I just started a new TLD series called 'The Lone Snowmad'. This is custom game, with help from community input in deciding the parameters.

Good start to the run....so many bedrolls lol....

How have you not heard of sketchy in the ice caves?   I thought she was notorious

Apparently she is, haha but I guess to be honest I realised that in my own exploration of HRV in the past, I didnt use the ice cave system much lol so maybe that's why I never rly discovered her. Feel like such a noob haha, I thought the only wolf in a cave was in DP (and now ofc that cave between the new regions)

I didn't mean for my comment to sound bad.. I'm just surprised you didn't know she might be there...  I know what you mean though, I think I've only been in them twice and I didn't expect to see her ..    better than a bear lol, let's hope htl don't start putting them in caves😁

Don't forget you can throw stones to distract wolves and get them out your way..

Typical prepper cache  being empty when you need one lol..

The game giveth (crowbar) and the game taketh (batteries and scrap)...that's mean lol..anything to get you near that bear, because if there's a battery that's where it'll be😁

Haha yep, I was thinking that indeed. I remember the bear tends to wonder around there. I am hoping I can try to avoid it 😅

That's the plus of the cars I suppose...either shoot and dive into one.or crouch into one til it goes past...

If you're going to the cache though you might get lucky with the flare gun up there,or the plane crash..

You missed the note in the dam truck ..  glad you finally got that cache though,it's like Christmas after finding such an empty dam lol...

There's only one thing I don't like about tld but it's not loot,I'll take nearly anything😁. It's the slowing down indoors mechanic that gets me, especially when it's not even indoors,like Boris cave in ash...grrr

I dont rly understand that mechanic either to be honest, it is a bit annoying heheh

Not surprised really.. they can be a distraction lol..   can't remember if that ones just a hint or not though..

Well I'm nearly always overweight and run a lot so anything that slows me down drives me nuts lol...  I kind of understand it in places like cabins,they are small but caves or the dam, make no sense to me..

Did you say you still didn't get the living off the land achievement?    It's odd because I did it a few weeks ago...  I just used reishi,rosehips and fish,and carcasses but not many...

Yeah I still never got it, I tried for a long while in my Lefty's my Bestie series but I dunno why I dont seem to get it. 🥲  I tried to avoid all the things that may mess it up like the cat tails or even drinking water found in an interior or whatever. Maybe I should just try it on pilgrim sometime and just eat fish and reishi/rosehip etc

Bottled water?    I was a bit wary about that too, so just used toilet or water I made myself...   I kept away from cat tails and burdock too...but birch,rishi and rosehips seemed to work...  

It's odd you're having trouble with it...a PC thing maybe?

Honestly though I shouldn't have had to do it again as Im positive I got the achievement 4-5 years ago..
