theisaactrain Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Cabins with one singular room, for example all of the ones around Mystery Lake. They often don’t provide much loot, or value, but I find a certain charm with them especially when they are tucked in random spots in the wilderness as you travel the game world. Two come to mind, and they are both un-named. One is near Bear Creek Campground in CH, nestled upon a hill next to a towering rock cliff. It seems this cabin is known as “Fishing Cabin” on the wiki, and I like it because you could miss it so easily. The interior is also one of the most complete, and clean in the whole game with everything being neat and tidy. The second one is in PV, and upon doing some research I think I the cabin I’m thinking of doesn’t exist. From my memory, it was in the western end of PV, between the now entrance to Keepers Pass and Three Strikes Homestead, it was tucked into the woods away from the river and was just so in the middle of nowhere. However, I think this cabin was actually the one in the northeast of the map way down on the river just before you get to the large hill where Skeeters Ridge is. 3 1
ThePancakeLady Posted September 9 Posted September 9 The little cabin in CH, off to the side where the road splits coming down from the train unloading trailer and blocked tunnel, headed down to The Tooth and The Log Sort. It's just "Cabin" on the maps, but I've called it my Vacation Retreat (or just "Retreat") for years. A great spot to do some hunting, gather some resources, and just take a break- I always stock it up with water, salty crackers, a pile of cattails, a few coffees, a few teas, and some fishing tackle to do repairs while I am there. It's an old screenshot, but one of my all time favorites. 4 3
Leeanda Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Op,you mean draft dodgers cabin in pv? It is a rather nice spot😊. Though I'm not a fan of coastal I agree with @ThePancakeLady on that cabin, when I'm there I try to stay there if I can.. Overall though mine is still lonely meadow near unnamed pond.. 1
PilgrimReaper Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Not sure if it counts, but I really like the one from Cannery Workers Residence in BI. 2 1
Goletitout Posted September 9 Posted September 9 For me it’s the little cabin in Ash canyon by the frozen lake .Its the first one I ever came across and was a life saver ! 2 1

This one for me as well, and for the same reasons. I've lost track of the number of times I've had to race for it after a blizzard hit. 1
Pınar51-06 Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Even Grey Mother’s house has really good advantages, ı really like the little cabin in Milton above the hills (around the wood lot and orca gas station) It gives me ‘Yeah Milton houses are good, close to the bank etc but ı hate everyone, people. So give me some space’ vibes😬 1 1
Pencil Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Fishing cabins in CH. The one in the middle of the 3, to be exact. If I set up camp in Coastal, that's where my base is going to be. Not much loot there but it's a great place for long term with fishing and a workbench (although, an outside workbench isn't ideal) 2
williamwill009 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Those little cottages make the game so unique, as every finding is just special. I also love to find those secret places; they are great for safekeeping or simply a lovely place to rest. 1
dahemac Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Foreman’s refuge in Sundered Pass is a nice cabin. The Snowed Cabin by Rüdiger's Hideout would be great if you could clear the snow from the fireplace, or dig out the windows a bit for light. 1
Wonderland Wanderer 3 Posted October 21 Posted October 21 As you said - a small, cozy cabin with radio on shore of Mystery Lake 2
twyn1 Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Definitely both of the Bear Creek cabins in CH & the one ThePancakeLady pictured above as well. Even tho' they're isolated and have no fireplace, they still feel "cozy" and safe somehow. Agree with Leeanda that the one you described in PV sounds like "Draft Dodgers" (might have changed the name recently?) Does the little A-Frame on Drift Island at Forsaken Airfield fit the criteria? I really love that one ... except for the glimmer fog. 2
ManicManiac Posted October 22 Posted October 22 There are so many great choices, and I definitely couldn't simply select just one. 🤔 (I mean, obviously places like the Camp Office, Trappers Homestead, Angler's Den, & the Mountaineer's Hut are iconic and that goes without saying) So, I'll just list some of my favorites off hand that come to mind: "Lonely Meadow" Cabin : Mystery Lake Lone Lake Cabin : Mystery Lake Rabit Grove Cabin : Coastal Highway Cabin on the outskirts of the Coastal Townsite : Coastal Highway Lower Raven Falls Cabin : Bleak Inlet Foreman's Retreat : Ash Canyon Homesteader's Respite : Ash Canyon Mindful Cabin: Forsaken Airfield Drift Island Cabin : Forsaken Airfield *This is by no means a complete list of my favorites... these were just the first that came to mind when I thought about the question. There are probably a dozen or more little cabins that I love here on Great Bear Island. 2 3
The Feng Hunter Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Ash Canyon: Homesteader’s Respite & Angler’s Den Forsaken Airfield: Mindful Cabin Keeper’s Pass: Forester’s Refuge (I’d love to fix this up & hope we can!) Pleasant Valley: Draft Dodger’s Cabin Sundered Pass: All of Them!!! The avalanche shelters are LOVELY! Zone of Contamination: Langston Mine mining office (Level 3); I love how it’s basically a small village underground. Incredibly unique! 1
deliaziz Posted October 23 Posted October 23 (edited) I think it's Draft Dodger's Cabin. It's like an isolated area. Edited October 23 by deliaziz 2 1
Veskaida Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Probably Mountaineer's Hut, definitely comfy. The various cabins in Forsaken Airfield are very pretty, but they are so remote and the environment is so insanely cold they exact a toll in blood on Interloper so I can't ever really consider them comfy enough to be my favorite. If I had to pick one of those FA cabins though, I'd pick the northern one closer to the cave/ice cave. 1
