Meat smoker?

I’d love to see some sort of meat preservation like smoking. Maybe using 5 saplings to make it and 3 to 5 sticks (maybe metal scrap) to hang the meat, with a ‘special’ fire/embers underneath that you add your smoking agent on (maybe old man’s beard). To keep within the harsh survival aspect of the game, I feel it should take a couple of days of maintaining the smoke/embers and that it wouldn’t give off much heat.
