Pyroxene Posted August 15 Posted August 15 I know this has been suggested before, but ... Sitting in chairs, armchairs and sofas would be greatly appreciated. Even better if you could knit clothes while doing it, or preparing reishi mushrooms. 6
AdamvR Posted August 30 Posted August 30 I never really saw the point in adding sitting to the game - until today's session. I was in the lookout tower in Mistery Lake, and wanted to repair my pants, and the benches seemed so inviting. I really felt like it would be immersive to sit, and do household things/simple crafting while sitting. As opposed to subnautica, where sitting exists but is barely ever used (?) - here it could have the option to rest a bit, activities performed while sitting would consume less stamina (or even very slowly increase it to a small limit). I'm not so sure if these posts in WishList are at all read at this point in the game development tbh 😉 - still wanted to mention it. 5
Leeanda Posted August 30 Posted August 30 (edited) Laying on the sofas, sitting out on the porch would both be great...  Maybe the customisation would allow us to put a chair out on a porch .. We could sew, whittle ,read a book even.. Edited August 30 by Leeanda 4
ManicManiac Posted August 30 Posted August 30 I certainly would not be opposed to a sort of "lounging mechanic." 😄 2

In Subnautica there is a desperate need for a crouching mechanic inside or on dry land. It can be nearly impossible to farm interior grow beds because you cannot not stand inside. On the other hand in TLD, where I agree sitting or lying down for appropriate activities, would be awesome, you can crouch. I often back up to a chair or bench and crouch to RP sitting. Or I get on top of a bed and crouch. That is how I discovered falling through the floor in the upstairs cabin in Sundered Pass. If this were introduced it could provide a resting buff. For instance on long climbs I often find I have to put a sleeping bag down on the ledge and sleep for an hour on the way up. Much more immersive if combined with the pass-time mechanic, I could sit down. 2
