My Long Dark Journey

My name is Manuel, and my gamertag is CrucialCrossout. I played The Long Dark at launch on Xbox and immediately felt it was one of the best games out there. Unfortunately, I only played for an hour initially and always intended to return to it, but years passed, and I forgot about the game.

One day, while in a party chat with friends, I wanted to prove the game was easy, but I discovered I was both right and wrong! I decided to start on the Interloper difficulty and kept at it. Since then, I've mastered the game on my own, slowly improving until I could breeze through it effortlessly, enjoying every moment.

Although I no longer feel lost in the game, I haven't explored many new regions since it's risky, and I avoid watching content creators to prevent spoilers. I only watch if I feel very familiar with a region. I played nonstop for a month on Interloper but lost my passion after dying due to a bug after 400 days. However, I'm back now for the newish Misery mode!

I'm glad to see so many people enjoying the game like me. Maybe I'll make some friends along the way.
