Leeanda Posted July 23, 2024 Posted July 23, 2024 (edited) Seeing as other games get mentioned a fair bit ,I thought a specific thread just for that purpose seemed appropriate.. So if you want to recommend any or ask for some ideas ,then why not here... Edited July 23, 2024 by Leeanda 6
Pyroxene Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 L.A. Noire has been remastered for the PS4, for example. A game similar to TLD is Green Hell, a Survival game in the djungle. 1
Leeanda Posted July 27, 2024 Author Posted July 27, 2024 If you like tld then Frigid is very similar. Project castaway is similar to stranded deep. 2

ManicManiac Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 (edited) Fair warning... the game was technically left unfinished; apparently had to be abandoned... However, the features that were added all seem to work fine and still feels more or less complete for what it is. In my opinion, for the features it has it holds up as a good sandbox that a survivor could conceivably play indefinitely. Edited July 27, 2024 by ManicManiac 2

conanjaguar Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 The Forest is good if you're looking for a more action-horror-centered experience with great building mechanics. Medieval Dynasty is a bit on the light side in its survival mechanics but there are some interesting features that make it worth a second look... 2
ThePancakeLady Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 My most favorite game is TLD. My second most favorite game is: 3
ThePancakeLady Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 Wondering if anyone who has played Survival: Fountain of Youth can give me any insight into the game. As its own thing, not in a comparison to TLD or any other game, please. As its own thing- is it fun? What difficulty options does it have? I know it's Singleplayer-only (which is what I prefer), and that there seems to be some controversy or confusion over a third-party account being needed and Eula agreed to, and I know it involves a more complex crafting and building system (is it overwhelmingly complex? Subnautica was almost too complex for my tastes...). I've been looking at the game, and can't really get a good feel for whether it's worth checking out or not, knowing that I don't play many survival games, so comparisons to other survival games aren't going to mean anything to me, since I haven't played them. I've only played Subnautica and TLD (and bounced off of Valheim pretty quickly), and I don't feel like those are going to be easily comparable to Survival: Fountain of Youth. 2

Thanks, but I've already watched a bunch of Lets Plays, which are good for seeing what the game looks like and getting a general feeling about the game, but may be heavily edited or may be using a mod instead of the vanilla game I would be picking up. I'd really prefer to have someone who currently plays the game that I can ask for little details about the game, and this strange "EULA/third party account" drama I am seeing on Steam, instead of a streamer who isn't likely to answer questions in comments on a year old video. So, not really helpful for answering the questions I have about very specific things about the game. But I do appreciate the link. 2

He does still play it,there are still random updates for it..and believe me he'll say exactly what he wants and what's wrong with something.. and he'll talk about other games while streaming so he might still have answers for you But no worries.. Again, thank you for the link and the introduction to a new streamer I have never watched before. But, to be honest- a 34-35 hour long playlist is more than I have free time to pick through to hope I find the answers I am looking for. I just don't have that much free time between working full-time+, running a micro-farm, doing a bunch of charity volunteer work and still trying to find time to play games (instead of watching others play them). I would like to be able to talk to someone one-to-one either on the forums or through messaging to just get a few answers and short-form opinions and feedback on the game from someone who is currently playing or who has played the game very recently. I just literally do not have time to go through 34-35 hours of Lets Plays, hoping that I will get lucky and land on the answers I am looking for. I appreciate you trying to help me out, but watching a ton of Lets Plays is not something that is going to work for me. I can't harvest corn and broccoli and cabbage and summer squash and till in compost and feed fallen branches into the chipper while watching YouTube- I value my fingers too much to try, lol. 1

Oh I know you can't go through all those.. I meant he's due to do a few live streams on 7days to die ,and it might be possible to ask him then... He's happy talking about other games and looking up info while playing .. But I know what you mean ,just an option if you have no luck on steam.. 1
