Leeanda Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Just hrv? Mind you it is certainly a maze until you get to know it ,very very well. 1
JerimiahSettle Posted July 6 Posted July 6 HRV is my favorite map. It took a long while to learn it, but the reward for doing so is great as HRV is rich with resources. But also, ill say that a map of it will not help. There's a lot of up and down, twists and turns. The best way to learn it, really, is to hoof it. My recommendation is to play on pilgrim, spawn in HRV, and go as long as you can without leaving the region. You'll get intimate with the map real quick. Ill also say the ice caves are crucial to understand. I'm not sure if you know this either, but you can craft your own map too. If you take charcoal from an extinguished fire, it will draw out a portion of the map. Good luck out there! 2
Pencil Posted July 8 Posted July 8 If you can find the polaroid for HRV and survey the vista, it will basically map 90% of the region. It may miss a couple of the lower parts of HRV but you'll have a pretty good map at that point. You can find region maps online or in Steam guides if that's what you're looking for, too. 1 1
javijungle Posted July 9 Posted July 9 When I played Firewatch I thought it was great the way the map is used together with the compass, it is true that due to the magnetic disturbance on Great Bear Island there are no compasses but the immersive way of displaying the Firewatch map I loved it. 1
