Amir Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Hello. Now that we have misery, interloper seems too easy! What if there was 1 of each important item in the whole GBI? 1 Heavy Hammer, 1 Hacksaw, 1 Magnifying Lens, 1 Lantern and 1 Prybar. I think this would breathe new life into loper and it actually makes us travel to all the regions! I can't imagine the joy of finding 1 of these items... This could also be a new mode.

If you want something harder than Interloper, you can now play Misery, so why make Interloper harder? The idea of knowing where specific tools are but having to travel long distances to get them seems like an interesting idea for a Challenge/custom mode, because the order you choose would unlock new gameplay options. However, for a default gamemode it seems boring to know where everything is so easily. (or worse, never be able to find the one Heavy Hammer and thus also be locked out of knives/hatchets) Players already have lots of reasons to travel long distances in TLD and 'loper, like reaching Ash Canyon's backpack/crampons, Bleak Inlet's unique machines, reaching a forge to make stuff out of scrap, summitting Timberwolf Mountain for its loot, Blackrock's unique items, and so on. Like I said though, I do think this would make for a better Challenge than some others that have you go around Great Bear. Each Region has 1 tool associated with it, you get to pick which of those regions you spawn in and have to figure out your best route, which tools you can live without for most of the run and which ones are a priority, etc.
