Rusty Posted July 1 Posted July 1 (edited) I have a minor structural complaint about Last Horizon. For context, I was delighted when Buried Echoes let me start the second Tale with a fresh character, since my survivor who’d managed the first Tale did not long outlive the experience. Last Horizon similarly lets you start the third Tale with a new character, so long as SOME previous survivor has finished Part One and Part Two. But! Spoiler You can’t finish the third Tale without having completed the first, since the ending of the third Tale is at a location that’s only revealed at the end of Part One. This truly is a minor complaint, since I really like the first Tale. I just wish I’d known going in that it was a requirement. I’ve been looking forward to finishing Part 3 and now I’ll have to pause its progress until I can knock out Part One (and complete Parts One and Three more or less simultaneously). I otherwise really like Part Three. Maybe Hinterland could include a little descriptive text for the Tale letting folks know of the issue so it’s not a surprise. Edited July 1 by Rusty
Veskaida Posted July 2 Posted July 2 (edited) If you think this is a bug or a suggestion for gameplay change, I'd recommend submitting a Feedback Ticket to Hinterlands directly . IMO that's more likely to be noticed and result in change/timely manner if it is unintended than a forum post. Good point about the bunker, haven't considered that before: but I suspect this is intended behavior by Hinterlands given you need the Handheld Shortwave to complete Part 3: Final Horizon. It might also be confusing for new players, who first start Tales Part 1: Signal Void, e.g. if as soon as picking up the Handheld Shortwave at the start of the Tale, they got a Journal notification for both Part 1 and Part 3 objectives. I think this was intended, I think since Raph in the Dev Diary(?) and Release Video said that 'players only need to complete Part 2: Buried Echoes once previously to progress' Edited July 2 by Veskaida
