Doesn't the FM bear that circuits the Poacher's Camp return to its den (the one directly North of Poacher's Camp) to sleep?

Returned from BR the previous evening - the bear was hanging around the camp. Storm started blowing in but managed to circuit around the bear to safety before it went full white out. Woke this morning to see a lump that looked like a bear carcass (oddly, exactly where the bear had died previously, just before I left FM on the last occasion). But turns out it was sleeping in the open. Maybe the storm was so bad it couldn't find its way home? Is that a thing?. 😁 You can just see the other FM bear in the distance in this video.....

He's just as noisy asleep as he is awake lol..

It's been a while since I've seen one sleeping out in the open but they do do that ..  last one I saw was the ash canyon one sleeping next to the rope bridge .. 

He's definitely a carcass now though lol..

Well, no. I'm on.my way to ML and I don't actually need anything from the bear. As I don't like.killing them unless it's necessary, I just reloaded from the point I woke and he was gone....otherwise would have waited until he woke and ambled off....😉

First time I ever saw a sleeping bear in the game was that same one, and it was just sleeping out on the (safe) ice between the poacher's camp and its cave. Really confused me at first, as it just looked like a dead bear, but I knew I hadn't shot at it, and I came very close to getting mauled when I went to check it out. Learned a few things that day, including I guess that sometimes the bears just get pooped and sleep where they drop.

Is it just me, or were these bear sleeping sounds added only recently? Like the TFTFT Part 5 last week? I can't recall ever hearing a bear sleeping before with these audio files, and have personally/watched Streamers VODs get jumpscared by thinking it was a rock or that the bear was dead.

I think they've always snored  ,but it is a bit louder these days...   They need to see a doctor ,they're keeping the rest of the animals awake lol..😁
