Misery Mode survival rates

My first attempt was 1 day - and I was proud of that!

My second attempt is currently at 10 days, with forging done. I'm not expecting to last much longer though. The afflictions are all real stinkers!

And 10 days is where it stayed. I was got by an aroura wolf - I should know better than going out in an aroura, but Misery makes you reckless!

My first proper go at Misery is a true outer version (only stay in places that accumulate "hours outdoors" on stats page). So even the warmer back of open caves isn't allowed to stay in.

My first 5 attempts lasted 0 days because I couldn't find matches before dying to hypothermia. I'm now on attempt 6, with 21 days in!

Thanks. I've been recording my run (with no commentary) and uploading to YT so far:

 

Current goal is to reach 50 days first. Once that is done, I may try to go for 100 if I feel like it.

I'm on my 8th run I think. Currently at Pleasant Valley with a fresh Moose Hide. It's day 37 and I still haven't managed to fully recover my condition.

Haunted Mind is absolutely brutal!

I originally planned to make my way to Ash Canyon but that's not gonna happen! I have shot 2 bears and haven't found their carcasses yet... A deer got away with my arrow... I have 3 arrows and looking for feathers to make more. I have enough food and water to stay in PV for a long time. Lantern has no fuel and I only have 4 matches left! 

I don't think I can stay alive much longer unless I find more matches. Been to 3 regions and no Magnifying Lens... 

I'm planning to make Satchel and Bear Skin Coat and then go to TWM.

I got such good loot on my last run (10 days) but this time I'm struggling.

Last run: hacksaw, hammer, bedroll, flask (what a lifesaver!), firestriker, but no coat
This run: Parka, but no tools, not even a sodding crow bar yet!

The RNG gods, they are mercurial
