Pencil Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 (edited) Has anyone figured out what the cabin fever bonus for the higher level cooking recipes? (TFTFT) Does this prevent cabin fever risk from showing up for a bit, decrease the duration of cabin fever, or cure it all together? Or something else? Edited June 18, 2024 by Pencil
CandyRacks Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 I do think it takes off a few % from the cabin fewer risk. Idk by how much tho, so far ate recipe items only when it wasnt visible in aflictions ":D 1
Veskaida Posted June 30, 2024 Posted June 30, 2024 Cabin Fever is a hidden player statistic that TLD watches whenever the player is at an indoor location (inside cabins, buildings, mines and caves with a transition/loading screen, including "outside indoors locations" which are a structure without a loading screen like Mountaineer's Hut in Timberwolf Mountain). Cabin Fever occurs when you spent more than 18.83 hours per day indoors (averaged over the last 6 days). "Cabin Fever Risk" appears on your Status page (and "!" yellow indicator warning by your Condition) when a survivor has has spent 75%+ of the time indoors to progress towards Cabin Fever. This is similar to how Vitamin-C is constantly tracked, but "Scurvy Risk" only appears on the Status page when you have less than 25% Vitamin-C remaining. Eating TFTFT foods with "Cabin Fever Reduction" gives the player credit (based on % of the foodstuff eaten) towards time spent outdoors Cabin Fever Reduction Foods will always have an effect, even if you do not have "Cabin Fever Risk" They do not reduce the time "Cabin Fever" remains on your character if it has already manifest: however it can still be beneficial to eat these foods while afflicted with Cabin Fever, since Cabin Fever/Risk is constantly checked and will re-apply indefinitely if a survivor stays above that 18.83 hours per day amount, so by staying indoors 100% of the time it could still be possible to not treat existing Cabin Fever, but allow it to pass for a time 3
Smellyfries Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I've been wondering the same thing, thanks for clearing it up @Veskaida! I just kind of have Cabin Fever deducing food lying around, not knowing when to use it, so thanks! 1
