Weird Ptarmigan bug

Does anybody else have that bug of.. sorry to put it this way, but "retarded" ptarmigans that just stand in one place and tweak like they have a seizure?

I always feel sorry for em and need to put em outta their missery when I see em ":D

I've never had that occur. I rarely see them anyhow as they seem very hard to find for me.

I've seen reports of it,but only heard the weird clucking sound..but I can't see them very well anyway..
