Pyroxene Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 The hill leading up to Silent Valley in Coastal Highway is very disorienting... Anyone who has had the same problem?
Leeanda Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 It is a bit confusing for a while but you kind of get used to it once you get to know it well... 2

Eh, I think they are using a translation or translator that is not showing it to them that way. The OP has commented on what they said was an incorrect translation in the Swedish language version of the game in the past, IIRC. So it's possibly just a "lost in translation" thing. 1

While this is fair, so is the fact that everyone else (literally) on this forum uses the region's actual name. 1

Please keep comments respectful.. translations may vary ,I myself have seen several different names used for several maps.. 1
Pyroxene Posted June 16, 2024 Author Posted June 16, 2024 Yes, I am Swedish, and I accidentally used the translation. No need to freak out. I mean Pleasant Valley, of course. 2
PilgrimReaper Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Well, förlåt... I was just pointing out the fact, is all. Sorry it came across more as intense. 2

CandyRacks Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Not really. Getting there is rather simple. Simplest road to follow: from coastal town head uphill. you will see a blue trailer and a bear dedn potentially. from there head left. follow the road until another turn where you trun right uphill. You will immedietly see some cabins and from there on just follow the road. It will take you along Abandoned Lookout and straight to the mine leading to PV. 1
hozz1235 Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 I agree with OP. Just that whole hill below the lookout tower and the various ways to reach it. 2

ManicManiac Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 I do love all the tension and danger that comes with those switchbacks. 😆 2

Anyone who has had the same problem? My favorite base location is the Quonset in Coastal Highway, so I know this area very well. When I want to travel to Pleasant Valley, the route I take to not get lost (and avoid almost all wolves/bears) is: Leave Coastal Townsite to the West down the road Turn right sign at the stop sign/side road, up that road going up the hill. (If one of the 2 bears in Coastal Highway lives at the Village, he 'can' patrol down this route (but I always keep him killed for pelts)). If you reach the avalanche with the car before it, you've gone too far Walk up this road, going right where the 2 Oak Trees are, the Trailer overlooking the Coastal Townside will be to your right Go left, past the bear den/possible bear den The road weaves between between two large rock outcroppings You'll come to a trio of cabins: one is burnt down, 2 remain. There is a rabbit grove here Leave this hillside-village and hang a RIGHT with the cliff to your right, traveling up the slope (if you go LEFT (down the slope) here it will take you across the log bridge leading to the road to The Ravine) You'll continue up the slop a short ways where there is a Trailer, the road it splits in 3 directions: One is the way you just came: back down the hill to the fork in the road and 3 Cabin Village w/ bunnies sharp RIGHT turn (continuing up the slope) takes you immediatelly and quickly to the Cinder Hills Coal Mine to Pleasant Valley sneakily hidden LEFT past the trailer, partially concealed behind a rock outcropping. If you take this hidden path, it will lead you to the road towards The Ravine 1
