Shadox Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 (edited) Im looking forward to Part 5, all of the Additions except the Second-life Thing sounds great. But if the consequences are that big, that shouldnd impact Gameplay too much. Im playing this Game since 2018, and while it always was my favourite Survival Game since back then, it kept getting better with every Update. 2100 Hours counting on Steam, even playing it on Switch on Travel, cant get enough of it. For me, every single one of the Totft Areas, changes, features and mechanics added so much to the whole Game. Both new Areas feel completely different, yet so well fitting and nicely different to older Areas. The cooking System is fun, and some Recipes are incredibly good! Ptarmigans are a great addition to wildlife, and its rewarding to hunt them I LOVE Scurvy, and wished i could enable it on my old Day 800 Interloper. Asking Questions like "How long will the trek last?" ",Do i have fishing Options?" "Should i take a Thermos full of rose hip tea with me in case something goes wrong?" Adds so much more to the survival experience than just eating meat for hundreds of days, and for me, its among the best, if not the best new mechanic. Even the Glimmer fog is really cool, because one can do the Tales or treasure hunting without having to worry about aggro wolfs, and while insomnia wont cause any problems on its own, it can snowball into a bigger problem when health regeneration is needed. And these Tales are fun to play, have a bit Mystic, a cool Narration, and unique rewards. Some very helpful, some not ideal, though worth it every time Also the firehardened Arrows made it so much more fun (and rewarding) to reach Archery 5 on new Lopers. Shooting rabbits and ptarmigans with them while skilling up, and amass Hides and down feathers, while it feels more natural to level-up this way instead of crafting Arrows, is also such a great addition. And the Down Items are also very strong, thus rewarding to craft. Almost forgot that Travois. Hauling bears and Mooses to the Regional Bases on Interloper. Hauling loot around on my Gunloper or other Custom with maximum cold, no cabin fever and voyager loot is pure Gold, and a nice QoL Feature I cant wait to play Part 5, and im sure it will improve the Game in the same big way, all the previous updates did. Making the Cougar behave completely different than other Wildlife, while leaving it optional, is the work of a Genius. (I'd like to have such a Scurvy choice on my old Interloper, started on the Day totft released :p) and ofc, with FA and ZoC being this different, im very excited for Mountain Pass, or whatever the final Name is. I love the idea of it getting colder the higher it gets! Very realistic! Also wanted to say thanks to Hinterland to take their time as long its needed, and release the Updates when they are ready. Thats the reason why every change, every mechanic feels well thought out and improving the Game, and thats something i feel less and less often with games and developers. Though, i hope Part 6 is not the End, and there will be another DLC. I'd gladly pay twice the price of Totft Edited June 1, 2024 by Shadox 3
