Pyroxene Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 How do you navigate around the Mountaineers Hut? It all looks the same. Which way do I go to Ash canyon or Silent valley? Can I go to Mountain Town/Milton from Timberwolf Mountain?
Leeanda Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 You can't get to mountain town from twm directly I'm afraid.. If you want to go to pleasant valley from the hut then you need to go from behind the hut ,mostly staying straight ahead until you find the plane wheels, from there there's a path of sorts to the left . Just follow that and it'll take you out of twm straight into pv.,via a rope climb down. To get to ash canyon, you need to leave the hut and turn right ,go straight over the lake and just over the hill there's a bear cave on the left and birch trees in the right. Directly between them there's a path leading downhill, follow that and turn right at the bottom. Keep going until you get to the exit. 2
hozz1235 Posted April 23, 2024 Posted April 23, 2024 If you don't mind spoilers, there are some great maps on the internet you can use. Oh, and there is a 2nd transition cave to AC from TWM, very close to Deer Clearing. 2

I thought it was easier directions I gave for someone if they don't know the maps very well.. 1
Glflegolas Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 I would personally plan on this journey taking some time. It's possible to get from the Mountaineer's Hut to Mystery Lake in a day in favourable weather, but it's not likely that you'd have enough energy to make the rope climbs into Mountain Town after that. A good night's sleep at the Trapper's Homestead should get you fresh and rested and ready to make that push to Mountain Town. 1 1
