You might find the next cave to the west to be better... reasonably central between Spence's and the hunting grounds just to the east of where you're standing and up on the Muskeg Overlook. YMMV, of course

Well I wanted to use the HUD-less version, but it was too big as an email attachment... and I'm not at my laptop right now... I had to settle for the one I posted on steam. Screenshot Pilgrim
A night trek from Broken Railroad heading back to Coastal Highway. It was early on in a custom settings run with low resources. I had pelts waiting to be made into some decent pants. Up to then only jeans and a single pair of long underwear. Also, no rifle yet. I was hoping to find one in the Hunting Lodge, but none there. Wildlife is set to detect me from afar, so bow hunting is more difficult. I had used the Railroad forge to make my knife, hatchet & arrow heads, harvesting found deer carcasses along the way. Weather settings are on the harsh side, so night walks like this one are painful, but sometimes you can't afford to wait. I divert to any potential birch bark plots I see.

Morrick
My first time inside Carter Hydro Dam as a Voyageur, I was approaching the barrel to make some much-needed water, when I mistook the overlapping of two background grinding noises for a wolf growl, so I quickly started a fire and ran up the ladder, like "What!? Who!? Where!?" — And then the amazing light of this amazing game got to me again, so I took this screenshot. Deep down, I still think Fluffy's ghost roams these premises... TheRealNFK
What has always impressed me about the ice is that even when looked at from far away, there are no simple repeating textures like you see in a lot of other games. 3
ThePancakeLady
Really enjoying the Time Capsule. Started out with the Desolation Point update, so i can see what my favorite region looked like when it was brand new. I have to start in Mystery Lake, and unlock the next regions by finding the way there, it appears. Love that! The game is so different, yet still similar, and so beautiful in its own way. Images will be in 1600x900 (because I bought new monitors, and forgot to change the resolution to a higher one they can work with... whoops!). I have to encourage anyone who has not played from Day 1 to give some of the earlier builds a try. It's amazing to see where the game was at a certain point in time, how things differ, and how far the game has come in the years since. This is about 10 months before I bought the game...
