It just… seems unnatural. The power of an algorithm to create something like this… it is frankly disturbing. How long until an AI is put in charge of weapons production? How long until a sentient AI is put in charge of a country? And how long before someone either hacks that AI, or it becomes malicious if it’s own free will?

The race for world domination began in early 2000s, when Google starts actively promotes their AdSense service to market.
Today is a lots of transnatinal corporations are fighting to take a role of country's government. After they have a success, they will start a new stage of race - a succesed corporation will rule all other governments, countries, a whole Earth... And then almost of us will live on planet, with AI global government, which will be controlled a successed international IT corporation. There's will be a lot of merging and acquiring, all other international corporations will belongs to the "One corp, who rule them all" (c)J. R. R. Tolkien.
And we'll met a W. Gibson's future of Cyberpunk, a "High tech, low life" (c)W. Gibson. That's it. Almost of us are doomed.
