Problem with DLC (Tales From The...)

After installing  I get the error "Failed to load il2cpp" when trying to start TLD. Anyone else?

I'm having the exact same issue, and I've found another post in the forums stating the same.  Can't fire up the game.

Yes same here. I bought the DLC and updated the game. Validated files and restarted Steam to no avail.

Same here. Bought the DLC for TLD on Steam version.

i restarted steam and now its downloading a 5gb update, maybe this time till work

Same here, but still the same error.

 

Edit: After restarting Steam, I got another update (3GB, what?!) but still the same error.

I am seeing the same problem and have submitted a ticket.

I tried

• verifying game cache
• restarting
• disabling DLC
• reinstalling

all to no avail

Steam is re-updating the game, fingers crossed that it's fixed or backdated we'll see.

God damn I was just updating 15GB now I got another 4GB update. Will keep you guys updated!

EDIT: So after around 20GB of updates, PC restart I still get the same error.

Gotta be a Unity issue. I've verified Steam files twice, reinstalled the game once, restarted my computer multiple times and verified Windows is updated.

Fix found.  goto "TheLongDark\tld_dlc\wintermute"  and copy the "baselib.dll" file  to the base directory of the game.  This was posted to a twitch channel while we were all trying to figure it out.  Hope it helps.  It did for me.
