Mac Build Delay: TALES FROM THE FAR TERRITORY

Survivors, we are looking forward to launching the upcoming Expansion Pass, TALES FROM THE FAR TERRITORY. Thank you for your support, your excitement, and for adding it to your Wishlists. 

Unfortunately, we have encountered an issue with the Unity engine that impacts only the Mac build of THE LONG DARK. We are working with Unity to resolve the issue, but this means that TALES FROM THE FAR TERRITORY, or the free updates to THE LONG DARK, will not be available for Mac on December 5th.

Although we cannot provide a firm date at this time, we do not currently expect that this Unity issue will be resolved before the Holidays. Our current ETA for the Mac version is early January. We will provide an update as the situation unfolds.

We understand this is disappointing, and we will do everything we can to ensure that the update is available on Mac as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and thank you for your support!

Will the game run natively on my MAC M1 or will I have to use Rosetta 2?  I appreciate the attention as TLD is pretty much the only game I would like to play on it.

Thank you all for your patience. We are still working on this update, and we hope to have a resolution shortly. 

We know this is taking longer than originally anticipated. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to offering more information soon.

Hi Leeanda! We posted the same general information in this thread on January 19th, but we haven't received any additional major news to share since then. We will definitely follow up with a community announcement as soon as we have a date to share. Thank you for your patience!

I have owned game since 2015 and got TFTFT pass in December, just trying to figure out how to access it.  So on my Mac game screen, I have "Survival" and "Quit" as only options I can click. "Expansion" and "Wintermute" both say "Download Now" but are not clickable. Got update today, and then even unistalled and reinstalled game too. Survivial start page says "December Update Available Now" but Steam says game is synched and up-to-date. Went into Broken Railroad, and not finding bridge span there...so updated but not connecting to the new DLC,  only partial update so far? Thanks, and sorry if obtuse. Not the most savvy tech user.

I had the same issue. After two uninstall and re-installs, it recognized the DLC.

Not sure if they pushed a silent update in between. I feel like it's a Steam glitch.
