Crafting?

Will we be able to craft? or just find stuff laying around? Part of me likes the idea of crafting and part of me doesn't. There needs to be a balance between crafting and finding stuff like ammo and guns. I do not want the game to turn into a constant crafting and looking for resources game. At the same time it would be nice to be able to make your own gunpowder, arrows, bows, and what not.

I think you will be surprised. I believe there will be a nice balance in the game of crafting and finding . . . . Lets just remember who is making the game

Right now crafting is essentially just repairing your existing items, which is what Hinterland has stated they want it to be more centered on, which I really like.

I believe there won't be crafting of buildings as such like there is in 'Rust' but there is a a Snow Cave element to the game, and when its going to be implemented, that is a wait and see thing.

As to the question on crafting, they want to make it a lot more interesting, with a lot more elements to craft, but again these are things that will be slowly implemented over the course of the Sandbox game. It isn't going to be 'Minecraft' crafting, but it will be a good system with plenty to keep you busy.
