Game becomes unresponsive

When trying start the Mystery Lake sandbox or go into the options menu, the game stops responding to any mouse clicks. I can see that the buttons will respond as if they are clicked, but the sandbox does not load, I cannot go back, or exit the options menu.

I do not have access to other spaces, I just obtained the game and I am unable to access any playable content.

You are right, I attempted to follow the instructions that hinterlandcommunity_ryan posted on the steam community forums:

How To Find Your Debug Log?

When reporting a problem, please include the debug log generated by the game. This will help the dev team solve the problem faster. You can find it here:

That is where I pulled the Player.log file from and there was only one in the folder. Is there another place it could be?

which seems to be another Unity game, which is why you probably found it in the same spot. If you have more than one try opening them up and see if you can see one that says The Long Dark. I'll talk to the tech team and see if maybe they could be conflicting with each other.
