Looking for good video games to buy for christmas

Anybody know of any games like the long dark? im wanting to get a video game for myself for Christmas. Any recommendations are appreciated! Edit: i play on the nintendo switch and pc

price range: $30 - $ 70 dollars usd

Kinda depends on what kinda device you are playing on?  there's some great titles out there but some are specific, like console only for PS4/5 & XBOX vs. PC only.   
also what price range are you looking at?  I'm on PC myself and often check out early release games and the like.  The most recent one I got for PC is the viking
survival game Frozenheim.  It was priced around $20 USD.  It's got some beautiful graphics but the movement mechanics are kinda clunky, but so far I really haven't put a lot of time into playing it yet.
