darishante
I think I should be able to break the ice of an ice fishing hole with a crowbar.
toebar
it's more of a pry bar than a heavy bashing instrument... maybe it should still work, but take much longer and use more enregy
Orwell 1984
You can even break the ice with a simple fir wood if you are determined enough.
toebar
Maybe.. But If it drops down to -30 C overnight, the ice in an ice fishing hole could be 15 cm thick-- thicker if the hole hasn't been opened in a while. And from the looks of it, those holes haven't been used in a while. Since there are ice fishing huts all over, why not have an ice auger? = ice fishing wherever you want on the lake

toebar
:? I'm not sure how you mean?If you're thinking about noise, I meant a hand auger, not a gas powered one
klesh
One would think one would find a hand auger in the vicinity with all those icefishing shacks around.
