Many people on same computer?

I might have made a mistake, but I showed The Long Dark to my wife and kids (10 and 8, both girls). Now, everybody wants to play, but we have only one computer. Is there a way to have multiple save games, so that our save games are independent?

Hello François! We are currently working on multiple save slots for this very reason. So it is not available yet, but is coming. Thanks for your question!

There is no way in TLD to do this yet, but there will probably be a way to do this in the future.

There are 2 workarounds however:

1. Create a windows account for each person. The savegame is linked to the account so having a different account for everyone *should* allow everyone to play. I would try this out first though, as I'm not 100% positive it does work.

2. You can find your savegame and copy it to a backup location. If you copy the savegame for each person to a different location each person can put their savegame into the save folder to play and copy it to the backup location when they're done. It is a bit of a hassle and it may be too much to ask of your children, but this method has been confirmed to work. It may result in your score not being uploaded to the leaderbord, if you care about that.
