Bunkers

I’m I bit perplexed, are the bunkers random?  To clarify, are they not always in the same spots in the same region?  
 

I’ve made my fair share of runs on both voyager and stalker but not to every region in every run. I swear I’ve seen bunkers in spots that they are currently not in (Myst Lake & Pleasant Valley). On one of my previous runs I found 3 in PV but they are not all there.

There are 9 possible spawn locations in each of the above mentioned regions.

Only one bunker will spawn (one in each region) in each new game play.

That's a total of 18 possible spawn locations with 2 spawns per new game.

The 18 possible spawn locations never change. Only the spawn RNG.

There are two exceptions:

One bunker in PV will always spawn near the rope to TWM.

No bunkers ever spawn when playing Interloper.

Thanks Hawk, that explains a lot. Lol, I’ve spent a hell of a lot of time looking for bunkers that are not there.
