Bones, new animals and animal fat. Crafting bow, arrow, ect.

Hi, hope you all enjoyed this game !

I think that bones and animal fat could be some new items very useful in the game. We could use it for made bow, special arrow, accelerator, ect.

Crafting idea :

Bow : 3 pieces of wood and 3 guts.

Arrow : 1 little bones (rabbit ones), 1 gut, 1 piece of wood and feather from crow or from new animals as eagles and owls ( maybe we could tame them for hunting fishes and rabbits ! )

Arrow of fire : 1 little bones (rabbit), 1 gut, 1 clothe, 0.25 L of animal fat ( or less ), 1 piece of wood, feather and matchstick.

Splint ( broken limb) : Piece of wood or bone from dear and gut.

For animal fat just use it as kerosene or accelerator.

I think this could be really awesome and stay in the idea of The Long Dark.

I'm waiting for your ideas with bones, feathers and animal fat !

At a recent Ask Me Anything on Reddit, the game's creator said he couldn't make a bow until someone figured out how to have the character fire it without hands. The animal fat idea, however, seems to be a popular one.

For me fire the bow without hand is not a probleme depend just on the way we see the action. We could see the arrow and our objectif so there is no need to see hands.

Great to ear it for the animal fat. Maybe we'll see it in few month !

Well, they've already figured out how to shoot a rifle without hands, so let's shoot the bow the same way...

Or... Wait for it... They could add hands (and feet for that matter).

i think by not having hands visible when holding the rifle it makes your character an every man, your not tied to any one race.... just gruff sounding Canadian
